Jimmy "MrBeast" Donaldson has announced Creator League, an esports tournament system including eight prominent influencers who will play alongside their followers in a number of tournaments spread out over the course of the first season. MrBeast may have announced the league in his most recent video, but he isn't competing in the league himself.
Although MrBeast has expressed interest in esports in the past, my initial reaction upon receiving information about the Creator League was that this was finally the news of MrBeast getting engaged in esports. It turns out, though, that MrBeast is just paid to publicize the league and hand out free chocolate to participants.

Has this gone off the ground? Would be interesting to see non-e-sports people join e-sports.

It was scrapped. It turned out to be a blockchain project and was not transparent enough with the creators they invited to participate in the league.
I wish someday there will be land-based Casinos in Georgia. Maybe someday it will come true.
