The Peruvian government passed new gambling laws last night (June 28), thereby making them official as Law No 31,806. Many loopholes that allowed foreign operators to avoid paying taxes will be closed by the revised wording.

The license fee increases to 3 percent of net income or Sol2.97m is a significant change. The prior license cost of Sol990,000 has been tripled.

One of the newest gambling licensees in Peru is Playson. It received a B2B gambling license as it ventured into the Peruvian market.

Expansion is always good for gaming markets. If I remember correctly they also passed a law on sports betting years ago. I mean, its taking forever for the guidelines and implementation, but this could mean even more licenses in the future.

Thanks to my bookie pay per head I'm working from home, and can travel anytime (let me know where to!)
