On Monday, Vegas Golden Knights’ captain Mark Stone returned to practice after being out of the lineup since January 31st due to back surgery.
Stone participated in practice wearing a blue non-contact jersey, but it remains unclear when he will be able to make a return to the game, according to coach Bruce Cassidy.
Cassidy stated, “This marks the next phase of Stone’s return to playing, recovery, and integration with the team. We will monitor how he responds to it tomorrow. Having him around is a positive for the team.”
During a game against the Florida Panthers on January 12th, Stone suffered an injury. At the time of the injury, he was the second-highest scorer on the team, having scored 17 goals and 38 points.
Stone’s recent back surgery was his second within a year, as he had undergone his first operation on May 19th, 2022, so he has been passing through a lot of health issues.
