As of 2022, Helmut Phung is the newest World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner. The 30-year-old German beat off 566 competitors to win the €550 buy-in pot-limit Omaha eight-max event at the WSOP Europe and the accompanying trophy and $55,132 in prize money.
For Phun, who previously had cashed for a best finish of 16th in a €2,000 WSOP International Circuit event in Holland, this was his biggest live tournament score to date.
I wish someday there will be land-based Casinos in Georgia. Maybe someday it will come true.
