The use of credit cards for gambling may soon be outlawed in Australia, according to recently passed legislation.

After its first introduction in September 2023, the Interactive Gambling Amendment (Credit and Other Measures) Bill 2023 has since been reintroduced. Since it is against the law to use a credit card at a land-based casino, it has gone through several procedures to prohibit the use of credit cards altogether effectively.

I think it is a wrong move because players will now have fewer payment options. What are your thoughts about this new rule?

It is my dream to become a bookie. It came true with the help of PPH services.

This will be a big blow to online casinos in Australia. It makes transacting with online platforms more inconvenient.

A bookie pay per head solution saved my sports betting business.

I think this is good because there are a lot of bettors who may end up betting on money they do not have. It won't be too much of a hardship since retail betting is the same. Also, most states, if not all, in the US also prohibit credit card deposits in online sports betting so I do not see this as something uncommon.

I do agree that it can help prevent problem gambling.

@ckinginsider Exactly, its standard practice in a lot of betting markets, so it should not be that big of a deal.

I like reading and contributing to sportsbook reviews, and other things that interest me, like books and films. Love the challenge of betting especially when it comes to basketball and football.
