2024 Tournament of Champions
In the WSOP-C final, the previously stated Tournament of Champions takes center stage. According to internet gambling news reports, the WSOP has announced that the Championship of the Tournament of Champions, featuring a $1 million freeroll championship, will take place from May 22 to 24. As previously stated by the WSOP, the format will be the same as that of the 2022–23 season.
Satellite events will provide players with a last opportunity to win a $11,000 package for the last two days of play. This package includes a full buy-in and a $1,000 travel stipend to the 2024 WSOP Main Event at Horseshoe Las Vegas. Based on its reputation as a premier card room, the Commerce Casino & Hotel is an ideal location for WSOP-C, according to WSOP’s senior vice president and executive director, Ty Stewart.
The series announced that the Tournament of Champions would be open to all official World Series of Poker (WSOP) gold ring and bracelet champions who have met the qualifying requirements until May 2024. As a result of the continuing cooperation between the WSOP and GGPoker, players can also qualify through GGPoker.com and ClubGG. Spencer Villaseñor, the director of guest experience at Commerce Casino & Hotel, also participated in the discussion, expressing his team’s “ecstatic” reaction to partnering with WSOP.
