Beach volleyball legend Kerri Walsh Jennings announced that she would return to the sand for the 2023 Beach Pro tour season with a new partner. Walsh Jennings said she would have Logan Tom as her partner this year.
Walsh Jennings, 44 years old and last competed in June 2021, will play with Logan Tom, 41, a former standout for the United States women’s volleyball national team. In an interview with a sports news outlet, Walsh Jennings indicated that she and her partner would begin competing on the Beach Pro Tour in March.
After failing to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics with her previous partner Brooke Sweat, Walsh Jennings contemplated her career moving forward. Instead, according to online sports betting reports, she won the gold at the Athens 2004, Beijing 2008, and London 2012 Games.

After placing 25th and 33rd in the final two events in the qualification round, Walsh Jennings missed her first Olympics since Atlanta in 1996. However, according to volleyball betting sources, Kelly Cheng and Sarah Sponcil eventually qualified.
Walsh Jennings missed her first Olympics since Atlanta 1996, when she and her partner were in a good position in the standings but were passed by countrywomen Kelly Cheng and Sarah Sponcil after finishing 25th and 33rd, respectively, in the final two events of the qualification cycle.
After some initial hesitation, Tom accepted Walsh Jennings’ proposal of a six-week training camp in California at the end of 2022 to see how things would pan out. Tom had some experience with beach volleyball in 2006 and 2007 when she participated in two FIVB World Tour competitions. After reviewing their joint effort, the pair agreed to go to the next phase.
