For this reason, PAGCOR, the government agency responsible for regulating POGOs and gambling in the Philippines, has declared intentions to revise the current regulatory structure. The chairman and CEO of the regulator, Alejandro Tengco, has indicated that regulated online poker would be one of the verticals presented in the near future.

It would be nice to see a framework considering the gambling policy of the country changes with each political administration. Consistency will be a huge factor if they want their gaming market to flourish.

And now the new administration is banning online gaming. Consistency is an unknown term in the Philippines.

I just saw this in my news feed. They're cutting down on regulator fees to get more legitimate operators, so I guess they have been functioning as a regulatory body for quite some time now. Its just kind of confusing to be the agency in charge of gambling and also be one of the operators.

I like reading and contributing to sportsbook reviews, and other things that interest me, like books and films. Love the challenge of betting especially when it comes to basketball and football.

PAGCOR reported increased revenue due to the growth of electronic gaming sector. It covers traditional bingo games, electronic bingo (eBingo), electronic casinos (eCasino), sports betting, specialty games, and online poker.

Also, the revenue increased despite the closure of POGOs in the country.
