Gambling has come up again in legislative meetings in Alabama. It seems like the House and Senate are ignoring one other once again.
The issue, which has evaded attempts at settlement for decades, is being considered by legislators. A senator has stated his intention to introduce a measure that addresses the matter comprehensively, but no legislation has been submitted as of Wednesday afternoon. On the other hand, members of Congress have stated their intention to uphold the legislation as it is.

That's sad for Alabama, but then again not unexpected. It will take a bit more effort for the legislature, unless they start looking at loopholes. What state was that, I forgot, but they had a hard time getting approval on the topic outright. What they did was they instead voted to pass a bill allowing residents to decide on the matter through the ballot. Maybe Alabama can do something like this?
Maybe lawmakers can try again next year.
