For the first time in the company's existence, Riot Games appears to have been unable to stave off the wave of layoffs that has been sweeping the technology, gaming, and entertainment industries like a virus.
On January 18th, Jacob Wolf reported that Riot had begun firing employees. The goal of these layoffs is to reduce the workforce across all departments, including HR, support, and esports.
