In our latest review, we are bringing you one of the often-requested providers by our readers- RealBookies.com. They have been in business for over two decades, so they do have brand recall in the industry. The challenge with established providers is if they are still able to deliver the same quality of service that made them popular years ago. Join us as we take a look at their software, so you do not have to, in our RealBookies.com Bookie Pay Per Head Review.
RealBookies.com is part of the RDGCorp group, a highly-respected gambling software provider. Thus, reliability has always been guaranteed by the company. And with over two decades of operations, you can feel safe that they are not a fly-by-night company that will take away your money and data.
But reputation is not the only factor we take a look at when we make our bookie pay per head reviews. We like to go through the process that bookies go through. That way, we can tell you of any hiccups along the way, any surprise amounts in your bill, and so on.
RealBookies offers quite a lot of services to their bookies that enable them to manage their online sportsbooks properly. We’ll go through them one by one so you can find out if they can offer you the services that you need for your gambling operation.
RealBookies.com Rating
- Sports Betting Software: 7.5 of 10
- Player Platform: 7.2 of 10
- Reporting: 7.0 of 10
- Versatility: 7.5 of 10
In addition, we will take a peek at their pricing, and let you know if there are additional charges or fees aside from the pay per head fee that they advertise. We do this because not all pay per head providers offer the same price, or even the same pricing system. Some of the best sportsbook pay per head providers offer a one-time fee that includes everything. Meanwhile, other providers offer premium add-ons, which drives up the advertised price per player.

RealBookies.com Bookie Pay Per Head Review
Before we go any further, let’s talk about the price of their software, as well as the registration process. Their site offers their services at $9 per head, but if you have 30 players or more, you can call them for a different price. When we chatted with an agent to ask about the price, they said that for 30+ players the price goes down by $0.50, making it $8.50 per player.
But it doesn’t end there. Apparently, the price is for the base product. Live betting (they have two live betting products) and the prop bet builder is not included in the price. The two live betting products are $8.50 total, plus the prop builder is $2 per player. That will bring your total per head price to almost $20 per player. That positions RealBookies as one of the more expensive providers today.
They offer the first two weeks for free, so you at least have that reprieve. We went for the free trial and signed up, only to have encountered errors multiple times. We had to go back to the live chat to ask the agent to register for us, and send us the email with our log in details. The registration process is your very first interaction with a software provider, so any problems like this would be a red flag. What other problems could they have that they are not fixing?
The RealBookies Sportsbook Pay Per Head Software
The RealBookies.com pay per head software offers a large variety of features and products that bookies need. Products include sports betting, live betting, prop builder, horse racing, and an online casino. However, some of these products are available at an additional cost. If you do not want to spend that much, then make sure you disable these products as they come automatically allowed. This will prevent you from any surprise bill down the line.
As for sportsbook management features, they have quite a lot. And this is where they stand out. Not all providers offer some of their features, like a rewards program for agents. Here, you can reach certain milestones and rewards you can use in your sportsbook. We also like the events calendar that organizes upcoming games or events per day, week, and month. It gives bookies a great preview of when days will get hectic. The only problem is, viewing it has bugs, as it does not display properly at times, especially when we adjust the screen. We were hoping that their software adapts easily to whatever device that bookies use easily.
Then you also have other features that help you with player management and with sportsbook management. Their software’s interface is not that easy to navigate, but they have video guides to help you. While we appreciate the effort to create user guides, a well-designed site with usability in mind would eliminate the need for this. If the interface is intuitive and easy to use, then there is no need to ask or look for guides. Especially if customer is not 100% available. For our trial, we tried using live chat inside the bookie software, and it was not working. We had to go back to their company website and go for live chat. We could have created a ticket through the software, but that takes time to be answered.
And in the bookie industry, speed is paramount to your success. Any delays can cost you money. And so far, with RealBookies, we have had two delays- one with signup, two with customer service live chat. Even with all the premium sportsbook management features they offer, delays with getting help will also delay your work. This is another red flag we are raising.
The RealBookies.com Player Platform and Interaction
As mentioned earlier, RealBookies.com offers a large variety of options for players. However, a modern sportsbook is not complete without live betting and the prop builder. And if you want your players to enjoy this, you will pay twice the cost of the pay per head fee as they are add-ons.
They offer two Live Betting products, simply named Live Betting 1 and Live Betting 2. Live Betting 1 is $5 per player more, while Live Betting 2 is $3.50 more. So that is $8.50 per player more to use this. Live betting one has a large variety of live betting options, especially for the major leagues, while Live Betting 2 has more minor leagues. In addition, Live Betting 2 has parlays and streaming.
The prop bet builder is a popular offering among sportsbooks today. This allows players to create their own player prop bets offered by your sportsbook software. This can help generate more activity in your sportsbook. But with RealBookies.com, it will cost you an additional $2 per player.
They have other products like the casino and horse racing, and thankfully those are included in the base rate.
As for the ease of use, the player site is quite average. The problem is that the betting process is a bit too complex, with the display showing you so many options. While this is good, players who are looking for specific and common wagers will be overwhelmed with so many things in the screen.
RealBookies.com Sportsbook Pay Per Head Recommendation
There is no question with RealBookie’s reputation, quality, and the products they offer. After all, they would not stay in business for decades if they are not able to offer bookies great bookie software.
However, we have concerns about the small bugs we encountered when using the site. These are problems that could easily be solved, and yet here we are, having problems as early as the registration process.
Furthermore, the cost of using their software is too high. If you can afford their fee, then good for you. But there are more practical options from other providers that offer software that is just as good as theirs. $9 per player, plus $8.50 for live betting, then $2 for a prop builder gets you close to $20 per player. That is astronomical, especially when you compare it with other providers, like Bwager.com, that can give you a premium bookie software service at just $5 or less per player. So if you want to put up your own sportsbook, look for more affordable options that can give you great value for the cost of using their services.
